Patience Is a Virtue…Right?
Sitting in the exam room, waiting for the doctor to come in and give us the rundown. No clue if the surgery will be scheduled quickly or if we’re in for a long wait. Either way, it’s nerve-wracking.

I packed an overnight bag just in case they say, “Surprise! You’re staying.” The drive home is 2.5 hours, and I’d rather be prepared than scrambling.
We’ve managed to keep our sense of humor so far—one of our shared survival skills. But when things get real, so do we. Right now, though, it still doesn’t feel real.
Robert’s been wondering how invasive this whole thing is going to be. Maybe with new technology, it won’t be as bad as it sounds? I doubt he’s done any research on it—he’s just not that type. But me? Oh, I’ve Googled the heck out of it. I do this even when it’s me going through something. Lol.
So, the doctor finally comes in. Straight to the point. Four bypasses needed. I had a feeling. But the real kicker? We have to wait a whole month for the surgery. A month! I figured a week at most, but nope. That means Robert gets to walk around for four weeks just thinking about it. This is going to be a long wait.
Oh Linzi ! I’m so sorry y’all have to wait an entire month for this. I guess the good news is that it’s obviously not as bad as it could be if they think that Robert can wait a month until he hast to have the bypass.
I know you’ve done your research so you probably already figured out that this is definitely much less invasive than it used to be. Will definitely be keeping all three of y’all in our prayers.
Thank you Kim! Love y’all!
